Drive the conversation. Back the movement.

Commercial support makes the journey possible.
Courage ensures it is worth travelling.

Sponsorship Framework

Enabling the journey. Strengthening the impact.

Version 1.1 - February 2026

A Bit of a Drive is more than an endurance journey across Australia. It is a national conversation about men’s mental health - grounded in responsibility, respect and practical action. This initiative requires fuel, logistics, safety planning, communications and community engagement across vast distances. Sponsors make that possible. Sponsorship is not simply brand placement. It is a visible commitment to strengthening the wellbeing of men and the communities around them. It signals leadership, courage and willingness to stand behind meaningful dialogue. We are seeking sponsors who:

  • Value community impact over short-term exposure
  • Understand the importance of responsible messaging
  • Respect the integrity and vulnerability inherent in this work
  • Are prepared to align their brand with disciplined governance and clear standards

In return, sponsors receive:

  • National visibility across a unique, story-driven journey
  • Association with a purpose-led initiative grounded in integrity
  • Opportunities for collaborative storytelling and community engagement
  • Recognition as an enabler of constructive change

Commercial support makes the road possible. courage ensures it is worth travelling.

Key Costs

Transparency is a key principle guiding A bit of a drive and our coordination and governance partner, Mollitiam Consulting. To help the community understand how the journey is delivered, we are publishing estimated operating costs (shown in ‘000’). These estimates reflect the real costs of making this journey safe, responsible and meaningful, including fuel, accommodation, safety planning, communications, and community engagement along the route.

In keeping with our purpose, any sponsorship funds that are not required for operational, safety, event delivery or coordination costs will be directed to our nominated recipient charities, in addition to the fundraising totals that are dedicated and flow directly to the charities. This ensures that support for A bit of a drive contributes as mach of the funding as possible to the organisations providing frontline services, support programs and community assistance.

~$65k Fuel for 16 cars
$20-30k Accomodation in shared roadhouse like accomodation for ½ nights, camping the other ½)
$10-20k Mechanical compliance, on trip servicing and safety equipment
$10-$20k Insurances
$350k Staffing inc. logistics, sponsorship management, cost control, social media, media & PR
$60k Documentary development

*1 - Accomodation - We are targetting to spend plenty a night under the night sky, however with an endurance event it is important that the drivers are sufficiently rested as there are days we are driving in excess of 6 hours. We will aim to stay in shared accomodation to reduce costs wherever possible.

*2 - Staffing - assuming 3-4 part time staff across 18 months

Sponsorship Inclusions Summary

Sponsorship of A bit of a drive is an investment in both impact and visibility. Your contribution enables the practical delivery of a national endurance journey - covering fuel, logistics, safety planning, communications and community engagement - while strengthening a movement focused on responsible, constructive dialogue around men’s mental health. Sponsorship inclusions are designed to:

  • Provide meaningful brand visibility across the journey
  • Align your organisation with a purpose-led initiative grounded in integrity
  • Create opportunities for authentic storytelling and engagement
  • Deliver recognition proportionate to your level of support.

We are deliberate about how sponsorship is presented. Visibility must feel earned and aligned and not intrusive or opportunistic. Brand presence will be integrated in a way that respects the tone of the initiative and the vulnerability inherent in the conversations it seeks to encourage.

The following sponsorship tiers outline clearly defined inclusions designed to provide meaningful visibility, authentic engagement and measurable impact across A bit of a drive.

Each tier has been structured to move beyond passive brand placement, offering opportunities for behavioural alignment, internal staff engagement and public demonstration of leadership in responsible conduct. Higher tiers provide deeper integration across campaign assets, on-road visibility, digital storytelling and governance-aligned activation.

In-Kind Sponsorship

We welcome in-kind sponsorship as an important way of supporting A bit of a drive. In-kind contributions will be recognised based on the retail or commercial value of the goods or services provided, and recognised in the same way as financial sponsorship within the relevant sponsorship tier.

Services we would expecially consider include:

  • Fuel - partial or full route
  • Vehicle servicing, tyres and parts
  • Long roadtrip 4wd and recovery equipment
  • Food and nutrition supplies
  • Camping equipment or roadhouse accommodation
  • Photography or videography services
  • Medical supplies or first aid support
  • Communications equipment (satellite phones, UHF radios)

All in-kind contributions are confirmed in writing to ensure clarity, transparency and fair recognition for our partners.

Please note that any discount offers can only be accepted as "In-kind" sponsorship if they are paid for by the event team. Anything offered to the participants or members of the general public, although very appreciated, cannot be included in the final sponsorship tally.
